Creativity plays an important role in the development of confident and expressive young people at The English School of Ulaanbaatar.
The performing arts programme provides students with opportunities to explore music, drama and performance in a supportive and collaborative environment. Through rehearsals, performances and creative projects, students develop confidence, discipline and the ability to work as part of a team.
Students take part in a variety of activities including:
• musical performances and concerts
• drama productions and stage performances
• choir and ensemble music
• creative arts and performance projects
A highlight of the school year is the annual school concert held at the Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet (MSATOB) in the centre of Ulaanbaatar. This historic national theatre, located near Sükhbaatar Square and opened in 1963, hosts major opera and ballet productions and is one of Mongolia’s most important cultural venues.
Performing on such a professional stage provides ESU students with a memorable and inspiring experience, allowing them to present their talents in a prestigious setting while celebrating music, drama and the arts with the wider school community.
Through participation in the performing arts, students develop creativity, confidence and communication skills that support their personal growth both inside and outside the classroom.
