Secondary School (Key Stage 3 & 4)

The Secondary School prepares students for internationally recognised qualifications and entry to leading universities worldwide.

Students are guided through a rigorous academic programme supported by specialist subject teachers and a structured learning environment.

The curriculum is designed to develop intellectual independence, critical thinking and strong subject knowledge across a broad range of disciplines.

During the secondary years, students progress towards internationally recognised examinations, including IGCSE and advanced level qualifications, which provide access to universities across the United Kingdom, Europe, North America and beyond.

The programme encourages students to take increasing responsibility for their own learning while also participating in a rich co-curricular programme that includes sport, leadership opportunities, the arts and community service.

Through this balanced approach, the Secondary School prepares students both academically and personally for life beyond school.

Key Stage 3

Ages 11–14

Key Stage 3 marks the transition into secondary education and introduces students to a wider range of specialist subjects taught by subject specialists.

Students develop deeper subject knowledge and begin to build the academic skills necessary for examination courses in the senior years of school.

The curriculum typically includes:

• English

• Mathematics

• Science

• History

• Geography

• Modern foreign languages

• Art and design

• Music

• Physical education

• Computing

• Design and technology

Students are encouraged to think critically, engage in discussion and develop independent study habits

Key Stage 4

Ages 14–16

In Key Stage 4, students begin internationally recognised examination courses, typically leading to IGCSE qualifications.

Students study a combination of core and optional subjects, allowing them to develop both breadth and depth in their academic programme.

Core subjects normally include:

• English

• Mathematics

• Science

Students may then choose additional subjects from areas such as:

• Humanities

• Modern languages

• Business studies

• Computer science

• Art and design

• Music

• Physical education

These qualifications provide a strong academic foundation and prepare students for further advanced study, including A Levels or other international pre-university programmes.
