The English School of Ulaanbaatar is led by an experienced team of educational professionals with a strong track record in international education, school leadership and academic development.
Working through Cherwell House Advisory, the leadership team combines decades of experience in British and international schooling with a deep commitment to the development of high-quality education in Mongolia.
Together, the team provides strategic leadership, academic direction and operational oversight for the development of ESU.
Graham Hill, Chairman
Graham Hill is an experienced international educator and school founder with a distinguished career spanning the United Kingdom and Mongolia. An Exhibitioner of University College, Oxford, he has taught across all levels of education from junior school to university.
Graham was the founding Director of the English School of Mongolia (ESM), which he established in 2011. Under his leadership, the school grew from an initial enrolment of approximately 250 students to become one of Mongolia’s leading international schools.
Throughout his career he has been closely involved in the establishment and management of independent schools, with particular expertise in educational leadership, school development and international accreditation. Graham brings extensive experience in building successful educational institutions and a strong commitment to expanding high-quality educational opportunities for young people in Mongolia.
Jack Meadows, Founding Director
Jack is an experienced international school leader with extensive experience in British and international education. He has held senior leadership positions in international schools and has worked across multiple educational systems delivering high standards of teaching, learning and school development.
Prior to joining The English School of Ulaanbaatar, Jack served as Deputy Director of The English School of Mongolia, where he played a key role in the academic and operational leadership of the school. During this time he was closely involved in curriculum development, school management and the continued growth of one of Mongolia’s leading international schools.
Jack has significant experience working with internationally recognised academic programmes including the Cambridge International curriculum and the International Baccalaureate, and has been actively involved in international school inspection and quality assurance processes.
As Founding Director of ESU, Jack is responsible for leading the academic vision, strategic development and day-to-day leadership of the school. He is committed to establishing a school culture built on strong academic standards, integrity, and a genuine passion for learning.
Advisory Board
The leadership of ESU is supported by an advisory board consisting of professionals in education, finance and legal affairs. The advisory board provides strategic guidance and external expertise to support the long-term development of the school.
Members include specialists in international education leadership, school inspection, financial management and legal advisory services.
