The English School of Ulaanbaatar (ESU) is seeking an outstanding Primary Teacher (Year 2 or Year 3) to join our founding team as we establish a new benchmark for British international education in Mongolia.

Our Primary School will follow the English National Curriculum, enhanced by:
- Inquiry-led and project-based learning
- Strong foundations in English, Mathematics, and Science

- Assessment through a combination of teacher assessment, SATs-style benchmarks, and GL CAT4 baseline testing
The Role
We are looking for an exceptional classroom practitioner who:
- Delivers engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum
- Creates a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Supports pupils in developing independence, resilience, and a love of learning
- Uses assessment effectively to inform teaching and track progress
- Contributes to the wider life of the school, including clubs, trips, and house activities
- Plays an active role in shaping the ethos and development of a new school
The Ideal Candidate
You will:
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent)
- Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 (Year 2 or Year 3 preferred)
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum
- Be an excellent communicator with high standards of written and spoken English
- Show a commitment to pastoral care and whole-child development
- Be adaptable, reflective, and excited by the opportunity to build something new
- International school experience is desirable, but not essential
