The English School of Ulaanbaatar (ESU) is seeking an outstanding Primary Teacher (Year 2 or Year 3) to join our founding team as we establish a new benchmark for British international education in Mongolia.

Our Primary School will follow the English National Curriculum, enhanced by:

4. Assessment through a combination of teacher assessment, SATs-style benchmarks, and GL CAT4 baseline testing

The Role

We are looking for an exceptional classroom practitioner who:

1. Delivers engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum
2. Creates a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
3. Supports pupils in developing independence, resilience, and a love of learning
4. Uses assessment effectively to inform teaching and track progress
5. Contributes to the wider life of the school, including clubs, trips, and house activities
6. Plays an active role in shaping the ethos and development of a new school

The Ideal Candidate

You will:

1. Hold a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent)
2. Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 (Year 2 or Year 3 preferred)
3. Demonstrate strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum
4. Be an excellent communicator with high standards of written and spoken English
5. Show a commitment to pastoral care and whole-child development
6. Be adaptable, reflective, and excited by the opportunity to build something new
7. International school experience is desirable, but not essential
